Annunciation or popular Blagovestenia (Slavic) reminds us that day proclaimed Archangel Gabriel Virgin that would give birth to the Son of God. This is the first festival of the Virgin confirmed in documents. Celebration date ranged from the beginning, some a feast on the eve of Epiphany, on January 5, and others, in certain Western churches, such as those in Spain, Gaul and Milan on December 18.
The celebration was brought to Rome by Pope Leo II (681-683) with local youths and titled Nativity feast waiting. Variation date of celebration existed in the West until eleventh century, when March 25 was widespread throughout the Catholic world. Only Armenians Annunciation is celebrated on April 7 against the old date of the feast of the Nativity (6 January).
In the East on 25 March was probably once widespread Nativity began to be celebrated everywhere on December 25, that since the first half of the fifth century.
Feast of the Annunciation falls every year during Lent, for which the Church grants dispensation for fish, no matter what day would celebrate.
If the creation of Adam, God the Father, Son and consults with the Holy Spirit, the Son of God as man’s conception (the New Adam) completely free consent of the Blessed Virgin Mary. St. Nicholas Cabasila tells us that God has neither testified before Adam nor persuaded him to give his side of which was to be built Eve, but depriving it of feeling and kidnapped bone. But doing to the building of the New Adam, he testified before a Virgo and waited on faith and her permission.
It was easier for the apostles to believe that Christ is risen, since they saw him risen. It was easy for Christians to believe in Christ’s resurrection, because they had the testimony of the apostles. But Our Lady of thought on a simple promise that it would happen to a law which go beyond nature. A thought possible, impossible, and thereby made it possible. It’s a law of nature can not conceive what life they chose virginity. This is why Our Lady asks: “How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?”. But the angel reveals how wonderful conception: “The Holy Spirit will come upon you and the power of the Most High will overshadow you,” and Virgin no longer doubted the divine plan.
The moment he says he trusts completely in what will celebrate the miracle, the Son of God and dwells she conceived the Man. The birth of God the Word that man is a single birth, birth having nothing of other people. Neither of his birth father, nor that of the Virgin Mary, did not have anything to do with the birth of another. His birth as man is not a necessity born from nature, but from God’s good will.
