Lord, our God, Sanctifier of the mysterious and most holy marriage, Preserver of incorruptibility and Good Steward of all earthly things, You who from the beginning created man and set him as ruler over creation, and said: “It is not good for man to be alone; let us make a helper suitable for him,” and for this reason You commanded that a man should leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife (or husband), and the two shall become one flesh, and what God has joined together, let no man put asunder; You Yourself, O Lord, send Your heavenly gift upon me, Your unworthy servant (Your unworthy handmaid), and bless the marriage that I am entering into today before Your face. Cleanse me of all my sins, forgive all my transgressions, and forgive all my faults, whether willful or unwitting; unite our thoughts, minds, and hearts in unfailing love and unshakable faith; guide our steps along Your paths, so that we may always fulfill Your holy will. Fill our home with all the good things of the earth and make us worthy to live our lives together blamelessly, so that we may grow in every good work, beneficial to our homeland and pleasing to You. Guard us throughout all the days of our lives, that we may fulfill Your commandments with a pure heart and praise and glorify Your most holy and most revered Name—the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—now and forever and to the ages of ages.
