The Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America was blessed by God with the gift of a bishop. Archimandrite Andrei Hoarște was ordained by the hierarchs of the Synod of the Orthodox Church of America to be the vicar bishop of the Orthodox Romanians in Canada and the U.S. On Saturday, February 1, 2020, Metropolit Tikhon, Archbishop Nathaniel and the other members of the Synod officiated the Holy Liturgy and the ordination service of the New Hierarch in the church of “St. George”, in Southfield, Michigan. We ask the Lord to entrust our hierarch with the gifts of his forerunners, beautiful decorators of the calendar of saints:

In truth you were revealed to your flock as a rule of faith, an image of humility and a teacher of abstinence; your humility exalted you; your poverty enriched you. Hierarch Father, entreat Christ our God that our souls may be saved.”
