THE POWER OF PRAYER
“I would like you not to stop praying. I would like you to understand that if there is any protection that extends over human society, over our country, this is the power of prayer. Don’t do a routine prayer! Get your heart moving, fill yourself with the thrill of prayer.
I am convinced that many of you are praying. I also prayed and thought until I got to prison that I could pray. Arriving in prison I discovered that I could not pray. If you do not penetrate the thrill of the faith from the top to the feet, you are not in true prayer. It is not easy. But if you persist, God helps you, gives you the grace of prayer. And the grace of prayer is given upon request.
The grace of prayer is obtained through striving, through hardness. The Savior said: “From John the Baptist the Kingdom of Heaven is taken by the naval!” And this is our ship, demanding with grace the grace that God sends us. I now turn to theologians and tell them: learn to pray, so that you can learn from others. As long as you do not know how to pray, for nothing you say to the Christian: “Pray!” When the priest knows how to pray, he will transmit the flow of power to his believer. “
