Feast of the Ascension is always present for us because we can not meet with Christ other than the one who ascended to heaven. We can not think of Christ only as one who sits at the right hand of God, we can not have him in mind Christ than as the one that is in heaven and everywhere, everywhere Godhead in heaven with nature human. Whenever stand before our Lord Jesus Christ, we stand before Him that Christ ascended to heaven.
Mention November Incarnation of God’s Son, Birth of our Saviour mention His baptism, mention Transfiguration, mention the celebration sacrifice his one redeeming resurrection the third day, the ascension, but all they mention and celebrate them in perspective Ascension, namely, our position in the face of our Redeemer He that ascended to heaven.
Therefore, when mention Incarnation of the Son of God at the Annunciation and His birth as a human Christmas, when mention all the others, we find ourselves enveloped somehow thought that our Lord Jesus Christ is in heaven and is seated at the right hand of God, and is everywhere, and in our souls exalted above this world. (Teofil Părăian, Lumini de gând)
How he ascended to heaven in glory One who, being God, is everywhere and fills all things ?! He exalted humanity. He is the man, whom it has ascended to heaven.
Lord ascended and was seated at the right hand of the Father and of God. How was seated at the right hand of God the One who spend forever inseparable with him in one government and sits on the same Altar? It is human nature that which placed it at the right hand of God, He is the man, whom it brought in along with dominion over all things visible and invisible.
So it was fulfilled God’s will in us. Son of God, come down to earth, he climbed the man on his shoulders, like a lost sheep, and brought him to his Father. Goodness and wisdom to glorify God loving people. Not left us and not let us spoil our misfortune, but ashamed cunning enemy, and deifying our being in Him, he has given us the chip saving work that we had been deceived in the beginning, to our misfortune.
So let us shake now, brethren, how weak our thoughts and our minds ascend to heaven to stand before God Altar at the feet of the Lord glorified human nature, and to contemplate for our instruction. (Teofan Zăvorâtul, Viaţa lăuntrică)
