crucifixion (Mk 8:34). <\/span><span title=\"Astfel, in sens duhov., are doua intelesuri: PURTAREA CRUCII si SEMNUL CRUCII facut cu cele trei degete. \">Thus, in the sense of the duh, it has two meanings: CRUCE PURTATION and CRUCE SIGNS made with the three fingers.<br \/>\n<\/span><span title=\"Iubirea lui Dumnezeu pentru oamenii sa relevat in intruparea si in jertfa lui Hristos pe cruce, iar iubirea omului fata de Dumnezeu se arata si se implineste in purtarea crucii de catre fiecare, pe urmele Lui, pe Calea Lui, care este o cale a Crucii.\">God&#8217;s love for men is revealed in the incarnation and sacrifice of Christ on the cross, and man&#8217;s love for God is shown and fulfilled in the wearing of the cross by each, in His footsteps, on His Way, which is a path of the Cross. <\/span><span title=\"Taria credintei se releva in toata viata credinciosului, dar in mod deosebit atunci cand el este in suferinta: cand sunt slab, atunci sunt tare ( II Cor.12,10).\">The strength of faith is revealed throughout the believer&#8217;s life, but especially when he is in distress: when weak, then I am strong (II Cor.12,10). <\/span><span title=\"Pentru ca i-a iubit pe oameni, Hristos a iubit si Crucea si S-a sfintit pe Sine pentru ei (In.17,19).\">Because he loved the people, Christ also loved the Cross and sanctified Himself for them (cf. 17:19). <\/span><span title=\"Sfintii Apostoli si mucenicii si-au luat crucea( Mc.8 ,34) si au purtat-o ca pe ceva inaltator, ca pe un prilej de bucurie si de lauda: Iar mie, sa nu-mi fie a ma lauda, decat numai\">The Apostles and the martyrs took their cross (Mk. 8:34) and wore it as something uplifting, as a joyous occasion and praise: And let me not praise me, except <\/span><span title=\"in crucea Domnului nostru Iisus Hristos, prin care lumea este rastignita pentru mine, si eu pentru lume!\">in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom the world is crucified for me, and for the world! <\/span><span title=\"(Gal.6,14).\">(Gal.6,14).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/adevarul.ro\/assets\/adevarul.ro\/MRImage\/2014\/09\/12\/5412d0840d133766a8126eb3\/627x0.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"338\" height=\"451\"><span id=\"result_box\" class=\"\" lang=\"en\"><span title=\"Semnul crucii \">The sign of the cross<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"result_box\" class=\"\" lang=\"en\"><span title=\"Este insotit de rostirea numelui Persoanelor Sfintei Treimi. \">It is accompanied by the utterance of the name of the Persons of the Holy Trinity.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><span id=\"result_box\" class=\"\" lang=\"en\"><span title=\"Prin aceasta numire, crestinul cheama puterea lui Dumnezeu in viata sa.\">By this appointment, the Christian calls the power of God in his life. <\/span><span title=\"Interventia lui Dumnezeu in viata oamenilor are loc insa numai in masura in care ei accepta si isi insusesc starea interioara de jertfa, de sacrificiu de sine pentru ceilalti oameni, deci in masura in care se leapada de sine, isi iau Crucea si Ii urmeaza Lui.\">God&#8217;s intervention in people&#8217;s lives takes place only to the extent that they accept and assimilate the inner state of sacrifice, self-sacrifice for other people, so to the extent that they dump themselves, they take their Cross and follow Him. <\/span><span title=\"Anumite gesturi rituale din cultul particular si public sunt insotite de semnul Sfintei Cruci: binecuvantarea preotului, ingenuncherile, metaniile. \">Certain ritual gestures from the private and public worship are accompanied by the sign of the Holy Cross: the blessing of the priest, the knees, the metania.<br \/>\n<\/span><span title=\"Crucea apare in mai multe locuri: \">The cross appears in several places:<br \/>\n<\/span><span title=\"\u2022 ca semn al binecuvantarii( Fc.48,17-20), \">\u2022 as a sign of the blessing (Fc. 48, 17-20),<br \/>\n<\/span><span title=\"\u2022 ca semn al vindecarii( Num.21,8-9), \">\u2022 as a sign of healing (Num. 21, 8-9),<br \/>\n<\/span><span title=\"\u2022 ca semn datator de putere (Ies. 17,8-16), \">\u2022 as a power-sign (Exodus 17: 8-16),<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><span id=\"result_box\" class=\"\" lang=\"en\"><span title=\"\u2022 ca sem al izbavirii de la moarte ( Iez.9,4-6). \">\u2022 as a part of the deliverance from death (Is. 9: 4-6).<\/span><\/span><span id=\"result_box\" class=\"\" lang=\"en\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span title=\"Puterea sfintei cruci \">The power of the holy cross<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"result_box\" class=\"\" lang=\"en\"><span title=\"Crucea este semnul biruintei asupra vrajmasului: Doamne, arma asupra diavolului, Crucea Ta ne-ai dat-o noua;\">The cross is the sign of the victory over the enemy: Lord, the weapon on the devil, Your cross gave us a new one; <\/span><span title=\"ca mortii i-ai sculat si moartea ai surpat-o, pentru aceasta ne inchinam ingroparii si invierii Tale ( Molitvelnic).\">that the dead have risen to you, and that you have overthrown death, for this we have worshiped your burials and resurrection (Molitvelnic). <\/span><span title=\"In ajunul bataliei cu Maxentiu, in anul 312 imparatul Constantin cel Mare I s-a aratat pe cer o cruce deasupra careia era scris: In acest semn vei invinge.\">On the eve of the Battle of Maxentius, in the year 312 Emperor Constantine the Great I showed a cross over the sky above which was written: In this sign you will defeat. <\/span><span title=\"In acest mod, Dumnezeu l-a descoperit acestuia puterea crucii. \">In this way, God has revealed to him the power of the cross.<br \/>\n<\/span><span title=\"Orice lucru se sfinteste prin insemnarea cu Semnul Sfintei Cruci si prin invocareaDuhului Sfant de catre preot.\">Everything is sanctified by the sign of the Holy Cross and by the Holy Spirit invoking the priest. <\/span><span title=\"Asadar, crucea este sfintitoare datorita sfinteniei jertfei Mantuitorului si faptului ca El a daruit-o oamenilor cu putere de sfintire. \">So the cross is sanctifying because of the sacredness of the Sacrifice&#8217;s sacrifice and the fact that He has bestowed on the people with the power of sanctification.<br \/>\n<\/span><span title=\"Crucea este nelipsita de la orice slujba a Bisericii, sub diferite forme: binecuvantarea data de preot insotita de semnul Sfintei Cruci, crucea de pe Sfanta Masa cu care se binecuvinteaza etc. \">The cross is indispensable from any service of the Church, in various forms: the blessing given by the priest accompanied by the sign of the Holy Cross, the cross on the Holy Table with which he blesses, etc.<br \/>\n<\/span><span title=\"Prin acceptarea de buna voie a rastignirii pe ea, Mantuitorul Iisus Hristos a schimbat semnificatia crucii, ea devenind din obiect de tortura altar de jertfa si simbol al iubirii.\">By willingly accepting the crucifixion, the Savior Jesus Christ changed the significance of the cross, making it a torture sacrificial altar and a symbol of love. <\/span><span title=\"Iubirea lui Dumnezeu se arata prin puterea de jertfa pe care El i-o da omului.\">The love of God is shown by the power of sacrifice He gives to man. <\/span><span title=\"Domnul Iisus Hristos a poruncit ca jertfa Lui sa fie pomenita: aceasta sa faceti spre pomenirea Mea ( Lc. 22, 19).\">The Lord Jesus Christ has commanded that His sacrifice be remembered: this is for My remembrance (Lk. 22:19). <\/span><span title=\"In planul lui Dumnezeu de mantuire a lumii, sacrificiul Domnului a fost conditie pentru preaslavirea Sa: trebuia ca Hristos sa patimeasca acestea si sa intre in slava Sa ( Lc. 24,26). \">In the plan of God for the salvation of the world, the sacrifice of the Lord was a prerequisite for His exaltation: Christ had to suffer these things and enter into His glory (Luke 24:26).<br \/>\n<\/span><span title=\"Prin cruce ne despartim cei credinciosi de cei necredinciosi si ne cunoastem.\">Through the cross we divide the believers from the unbelievers and we know each other. <\/span><span title=\"Prin urmare, acest lemn pe care Hristos S-a adus jertfa trebuie cinstit pentru ca s-a sfintit prin atingerea cu Trupul si Sangele Lui.\">Therefore, this wood that Christ has sacrificed has to be honored because it was sanctified by touching with His Body and Blood. <\/span><span title=\"Ne inchinam deci semnului cinstitei si de viata facatoarei cruci, chiar daca este facut din alta materie.\">We therefore worship the sign of sin and the life of the cross-maker, even if it is made of another matter. <\/span><span title=\"Noi nu cinstim materia, ci semnul, ca simbol al lui Hristos.\">We do not honor matter, but the sign, as a symbol of Christ. <\/span><span title=\"Prin urmare trebuie sa ne inchinam semnului lui Hristos.\">Therefore, we must worship the sign of Christ. <\/span><span title=\"Acolo unde va fi semnul, acolo va fi si El.\">Where there will be the sign, there will be Himself. <\/span><span title=\"(Sf.
