The christian celebration of Holy 40 Martyrs of Sebaste was superimposed over the traditional start of the agricultural year and generated a Romanian traditional celebration, martyrs or “m\u0103cinicii”. <\/span>On this day, proceed to clean household garbage collected posing fire with fire brought from home only to bring the heat in the house and outside. I<\/span>n popular belief the day ends days old women martyrs, whimsical days of winter through spring, leaving room grandfathers days, warm days. <\/span>Therefore, on this day are numerous rituals chasing frost, such as being beaten with sticks or mallets earth, uttering incantations in order to escape the heat and get cold, or the children’s game over fire.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
